The two struggle to escape the sky-city of Columbia, in a 1912 America that might have been.Īrmed with an arsenal of new weapons and abilities, they face menacing enemies, in unique expansive environments. Here's the official description from Irrational Games:īioShock Infinite puts players in the role of Booker DeWitt, a hard-bitten former Pinkerton agent, together with the revolutionary AI companion, Elizabeth. The twist is that this setting is not only not underwater, but it is a floating steampunk style city in the sky! More splicer mayhem with the ever prevalent hacking and plasmids! There's an explanation for how they work in Burial at Sea, Suchong claims that he could also see Fink through Tears, and that he saw him adding an oxidating agent to the Plasmids making them drinkable, I would assume that also lessens the extent of the damage caused since it's not being injected anymore (meaning, not going straight into your blood, but being digested, that in itself makes a huge difference).A sequel to the now trilogy, this game differs from the first two games by not being set in Rapture, but on a floating island called Columbia. Apparently they are producing ADAM out of thin air or are there any slugs in Columbia, haven't seen any. Yeah we've heared that in the main game already but there is no indication to where do they get the materials and what they actually are, and how do they work. Plasmids were injected and changed your DNA.how exactly vigors work being that genetic technology didn't exist in 1912 is still pretty much up in the air. ![]() Splicers from Rapture (I have noticed that "Crows" have some disfigurement as well.)Īctually vigors are, in BaS, there is a recording of Suchong and he mentions Fink looking through a tear and stealing the idea of plasmids. I would like to point out that Cornelius Slate shows signs of possible side effects from his over use of Shock Jockey (the right hand side of his skull has shock crystals forming in it), so perhaps Vigors are just as poisonous as Splicing, but since Vigors are relatively rare for people to use and the current population of Vigor Users haven't been using them enough, there isn't a large enough change in them vs. I don't think the section meter makes much of a difference, Plasmids still went down in their own sectional increments anyways depending on the type used (I recall Winter using more than Shock Jockey in BS2).Īlso I don't mind the system in Infinite because you can quick select which vigors you want to use rather than having to run to the Gene Bank and having to shuffle them around a bit (not that you had to do that much.) Not to mention that the current system doesn't randomly shuffle your F-Keys when you get a new Vigor. ![]()
